Double Board-Certified in Otolaryngology and Sleep Medicine — Head of Sleep Medicine at Norelle Health

Boris Chernobilsky, MD is double board-certified in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and in Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and the International Sleep Surgical Society. He specializes in all manner of sleep and airway surgery, with particular expertise in hypoglossal nerve stimulation, advanced palatopharyngeal techniques such as expansion and mucosal advancement palatoplasty, nasal and sinus surgery, and minimally invasive procedures for snoring.

With a longstanding passion for sleep disorders and more than 18 years of practice, Dr. Chernobilsky established sleep surgery and hypoglossal nerve stimulation programs at two prominent academic medical centers in New York City, bringing these technologies and advanced techniques first to the Mount Sinai Health System in 2015 and then to NYU Langone Health in 2018, where he went on to serve as head of sleep medicine. He now leads the Sleep Medicine program at Norelle Health, where his command of both the medical and surgical sides of sleep care allows him to offer each patient a personalized solution and an honest, balanced opinion.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts at Cornell University in Biology, with a concentration in Neurobiology and Behavior, and in Government, with a concentration in International Relations. He completed his medical degree at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society, and his residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, the oldest specialty hospital in the Western Hemisphere.

Dr. Chernobilsky has held leadership roles on the Board of Governors of the AAO-HNS and currently serves as Treasurer of the New York Society of Otolaryngology. His volunteer work includes multiple medical missions to Ukraine, where he has helped perform complex repairs of facial trauma for soldiers and civilians affected by the war.
